Letter from the President: November 2016

November 21, 2016

Lynda Gibbs

Hello everyone,

I hope this letter finds you well and happy and looking forward to some more great performances from Pull-Tight.

Many thanks to JK Gregg and the cast and crew of Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike for a delightful run of Christopher Durang’s comedy. I love it when we choose to do something a little off the beaten path that turns out to be so much fun!

As many of you know, Blandina Vergara-Cruz was set to direct our next production, Legally Blonde, when her son Raymond was diagnosed with cancer. Beth Woodruff and Laurel Aiello graciously stepped in so that Blandina could be by Ray’s side while he undergoes treatment. The outpouring of love and support for this family and for this remarkable young man has been life-affirming to say the least. It’s what binds us and raises us up as human beings, and again why so many of us count Pull-Tight as family in every sense of the word. We all look forward to the show and continue to send our love and prayers to Ray and his family.

We are very excited about our next season! You will notice the banner on this website, and look for the season ticket brochure and instructions for purchasing to follow June 1. Thank you all for being part of what we do! See you at the theatre.

Letter from the President: September 2016

September 23, 2016

Lynda Gibbs

Hello everyone,

I hope you all got to see our season opener, To Kill a Mockingbird. Sales were through the roof and we met the demand with great aplomb. The cast and crew did a beautiful job in the telling of this poignant and compelling story.

Director Iain Macpherson and his cast and crew are hard at work on Macbeth, my absolute favorite of Shakespeare’s plays. I think it’s the prophecies, the ingenious display of human guilt and the beautiful use of language that transport me.

Look for info soon on our fall membership meeting. We look forward to getting together and catching up with all of you over good food and fun.

See you at the theatre!
