Letter from the President: January 2018

January 29, 2018

Hey everyone,

Hopefully this letter finds you all well and off to a great start to the New Year! I, myself, feel like I still have so much left to do in the old year that it takes me a while to let go and find my stride!

Many thanks to Daryle Tallent and her cast and crew for the delightful production of Christmas Belles. It was a wonderful way to kick off the Christmas season. The laughs were many, but the heart of the show wasn’t lost on anyone either.

The powerful and compelling Death of a Salesman opens soon and it really is a classic not to be missed. JK Gregg and her cast and crew are hard at work, and having  stopped into a rehearsal, I can tell you it is spellbinding.

Whether it’s snowing or 60 degrees out, I can’t think of a more perfect way to spend an evening than at the theatre. See you there!

Lynda

Letter from the President: November 2017

November 18, 2017

Hey everyone,

I hope this newsletter finds you well and happy and looking forward to a joyous holiday season with your friends and loved ones.

Many thanks to Iain Macpherson and the talented cast and crew of Rumors for a most entertaining night at the theatre. Neil Simon writes superbly for the stage, but he depends on people like this fabulous cast and crew to bring it to life.

Speaking of life … there’s a bit of strife in Fayro, Texas as the sisters Futrelle and company prepare to put on a Christmas show at the Tabernacle of the Lamb. Daryle Tallent and her cast and crew are getting ready to take you there via the inimitable words of Jones, Hope, Wooten. We hope you’ll join us.

At this time of year we wish you all peace, love and hope, and we thank you for your continued support of our beloved little theatre. We are very blessed indeed.

Letter from the President: October 2017

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well and enjoying the approaching fall weather. Since I’m a Libra, I always feel at home as the air chills and the leaves begin to fall; makes me want to get my cauldron out and start brewing!

The witches of MacBeth

The Fantasticks had a super run and brought its beautiful, timeless story to many who were seeing it yet again, as well as to many new audiences. Once again, hats off to Pat Street and her fabulous cast and crew for a terrific production.

Get your funny bones ready for Neil Simon’s Rumors! This fast-paced farce is sure to delight. Opening October 13, Iain Macpherson and his talented cast and crew are hard at work getting ready to make you laugh.

See you at the theater.

Letter from the President: July 2017

Lynda Gibbs

I hope this newsletter finds you all having enjoyed time off with your family and friends as we head into this last month of summer. Or as I like to call it, how can it be August already!

Legally Blonde was a fabulously good time! Thanks once again to the hardworking cast and crew who did three additional performances to meet the incredible demand for this fun show. We are beholden (as my grandmother used to say) to Beth Woodruff and Laurel Aiello for stepping up and stepping in to direct.

Pat Street and the amazingly talented cast and crew of The Fantasticks are hard at work heading toward an August 11 opening. This incredible gem of a show ran for 42 years off-Broadway, making it the world’s longest running musical. To this day, this sweet story of love, disillusionment and awakening is seen in over 250 new productions each year. We are delighted that one of them is here in Franklin.

As Pull-Tight heads toward its 50th Season, we’d love your input on what you might like to see on our stage. Be on the lookout for our survey coming your way soon. Thank you for being such a vital part of what we do! See you at the theatre.
