The civil rights movement is rising. A children’s book about two rabbits stirs the passions of a state senator and the protective instincts of a dedicated librarian in 1959 Montgomery, Alabama. Meanwhile, two childhood friends reunite as adults, each with their own memories of the past. It’s a page out of our history brought to life on the stage.
