Junior Youth Guild

The Junior Youth Actors' Guild, which is for ages six through twelve, learns about all
forms of theatrical experience, and sees the theater space during all stages of
set construction. Touring backstage while a show is in production is a
theatrical education all by itself! Children are encouraged to attend plays and
to audition for appropriate roles when they come along. During monthly
meetings, children are also given as many impromptu performing opportunities as
possible - with theatre games and skits - which helps to build stage
confidence.
We strive to include dance, musical theatre, opera, and a variety of historical styles into our repertoire,
helping children to understand all aspects of theatre and expanding their awareness of all of the arts in the community,
leading to more opportunities for self-expression and creativity.
The Junior Youth Actors' Guild meets at the theatre from 10:30am until noon on the LAST Saturday of each month, with a few exceptions. In 2011, the April meeting will be held on the 23rd, there is no June meeting, and the November meeting will be held on the 19th. There is also no meeting in December. Please drop by - no reservations required!
